2020 deLorimier Meritage, Estate

Starting with a very appealing, fruit-forward nose, this dark red beauty opens further with scents of dusty rose and light vanilla.  The first sip delights with boisterous acidity and medium tannins, showcasing both sweet blueberry and tart boysenberry, followed by a light dusting of cocoa and black pepper. As it settles in, this wine smooths out, offering lovely mouthfeel and finish with a slight tobacco box flavor to wrap up. Pair with a slightly salty tomato sauce dish, like traditional spaghetti or calzone.
