Originally planted in 1886, generations of the Forchini family have farmed this legendary vineyard. This dry-farmed vineyard has a hard-earned reputation for growing exceptional wines rich in flavor and with impeccable structure that reflect the distinct terroir of the eastern side of the Dry Creek Valley. The head pruned vineyard is sustainably farmed utilizing goats and sheep by Andrew Forchini. Andrew and Jim Forchini are committed to practicing the same sustainability practices utilized by their forefather’s. The Cabernet Franc is planted on the easternmost hill from Dry Creek Road. The sandy soil drains well, driving the root system deep into the hillside to gather the nutrients and capitalized on the dry farming nature of the vineyard.
